Vehicles and oblivious pedestrians are a potential enemy. Texting and riding is treason. When you’re out you scan for new spots. It’s not some toy, it can be how you get around as much as an outlet. Rich Monday – Skateboarding Reality Check Starting in 1977 Rich Monday joined the skate community and became a local presence in the Modesto skateboard community. His parents used the local skateboard park, “The Heat Wave” as a 7 day a week day care and each day he was dropped off for hour after hour of skateboarding adventure. I’m sorry to announce this about a friend and hero of mine, Skateboarding and punk rock legend Duane Peters has come under the gun again in what looks to be yet another tragic chapter in Duane’s life.
